Data Use & Privacy Notice

Custom Computing Corporation (“CCC”) is committed to ensuring the privacy of individuals who visit ccccorp.com and knowledgebase.ccc-webservices.com (the “Visitors”). Individually and collectively, the sites ccccorp.com and knowledgebase.ccc-webservices.com are referred to as (“CCC Sites”). Individuals who register to use CCC Services as defined below (“Customers”); individuals who register to attend our corporate events or provide information to CCC at trade shows or similar events (“Attendees”); and individuals who apply for a job with CCC (“Applicants”) may be referred to individually and collectively as (“you”).

This Privacy Notice describes CCC’s Privacy Policy in effect for the use of CCC Sites and the related applications and services CCC offers (collectively, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy also covers the privacy practices of CCC Sites that link to this Privacy Policy, including how CCC collects, uses, shares, and secures the Personal Data you provide.

CCC respects the privacy rights of Visitors, Customers, Attendees, and Applicants. This Privacy Policy details how we handle the information received from Visitors, Customers, Attendees, and Applicants. By using CCC Sites or Services, or allowing someone to use CCC’s Sites or Services on your behalf, you are consenting to CCC’s collection, use, disclosure, transfer and storage of any information including Personal Data received by CCC as a result of such use.

CCC Sites may contain links to third-party websites, which will have their own privacy practices and privacy policies. CCC encourages you to review the privacy policies of any applicable third-party websites in order to understand their privacy practices in effect.

DEFINITION OF TERMS

Personal Data
Personal Data means data about a living individual who can be identified from those data (or from those and other information either in our possession or likely to come into our possession).
Usage Data
Usage Data is data collected automatically either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).
Cookies
Cookies (also called web cookie, Internet cookie, browser cookie, or simply cookie) is a small piece of data sent from a website and stored on the user’s computer by the user’s web browser while the user is browsing.
Data Controller
Data Controller means a person who (either alone or jointly or in common with other persons) determines the purposes for which and the manner in which any personal data are, or are to be, processed.
Data Processor (Service Provider)
Data Processor (or Service Provider) means any person (other than an employee of the Data Controller) who processes the data on behalf of the Data Controller. CCC may use the services of various Service Providers in order to process your data more effectively.
Data Subject
Data Subject is any living individual who is the subject of Personal Data data being collected.
User
The User is the individual using the Sites and Service. The User corresponds to the Data Subject, who is the subject of Personal Data. Users include Visitors, Customers, Attendees, and Applicants.

CONFIDENTIALITY AND SECURITY OF PERSONAL DATA

CCC maintains reasonable security measures to protect personal information from loss, destruction, misuse, unauthorized access, or disclosure. These technologies help ensure that personal information submitted and other data submitted to CCC Sites are safe and secure. While CCC follows generally accepted standards to protect the information submitted, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Personal Data

CCC will collect Personal Data from you at different times and for different purposes as described below. Your Personal Data may be used to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information that may be of interest to you. You may opt-out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from CCC by following the unsubscribe link or instructions provided in emails CCC sends.

Customer Personal Data

CCC collects certain Personal Data from Customers, at different points in time.

Account Registration – Upon account registration, CCC collects Personal Data that may include, but is not limited to:

  • Email address
  • First name and last name
  • Phone number
  • Fax number
  • Address, City, State, ZIP/Postal code
  • Business name

Company Communications – If the Customer communicates with CCC by email or completes online contact forms or surveys, CCC may collect Personal Data requested in such communications. Such Personal Data may include, but is not limited to:

  • Email address
  • First name and last name
  • Phone number
  • Fax number
  • Address, City, State, ZIP/Postal code
  • Business name
  • Customer ID
  • User ID

Other – CCC may also ask for and collect personal information such as the email addresses and names from any individual that Customer authorizes to log into and utilize the Services in connection with Customer’s account. Occasionally, CCC connects personal information gathered in CCC’s Other Data files as described below in Other Information Collected. In such a case, CCC would treat the combined information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Visitor Personal Data

When a Visitor submits an inquiry through forms on CCC Sites, we collect Personal Data including, but not limited to:

  • Email address
  • First name and last name
  • Phone number
  • Business Name
  • Role

If you sign-up for CCC’s company newsletter, CCC collects the same information from you that CCC would collect from any Customer, as described above.

Attendee Personal Data

When an Attendee registers for an event using a registration form on CCC’s Sites, we collect Personal Data including, but not limited to:

  • Email address
  • First name and last name
  • Phone number
  • Address, City, State, ZIP/Postal code
  • Business name
  • Role

CCC may also collect this information from other events in which CCC sponsors or participates in using methods other than CCC’s Sites registration.

Applicant Personal Data

When an Applicant applies for a job through CCC’s Sites, CCC collects Personal Data including, but not limited to:

  • Email address
  • First name and last name
  • Phone number
  • Address, City, State, ZIP/Postal code
  • Resume or Curriculum Vitae

Other Information Collected (“Other Data”)

Traffic Information

When you visit CCC’s Sites, CCC may track and collect certain information including, but not limited to (“Traffic Information”):

  • Internet Protocol (“IP”) addresses
  • Date and time of the visit to the site
  • Type of internet browser and operating system you used to access the Site
  • Type of device you used to access the Site
  • Web pages that you visited on the Site
  • Location and language preferences
  • Mobile carrier

Usage Data

CCC also collects “Usage Data” about groups or categories of services, features, or users, which do not contain personally-identifying information. Usage Data helps CCC understand trends in the usage of the Service so that we can better consider new features or otherwise tailor CCC Services.

Organization Data

At times CCC may ask you to provide detailed information about your organization such as financial information in order to provide you a tailored quote for CCC’s Services or to customize Services to your organizations’ unique needs.

CCC deploys commonly used tools, such as cookies to collect information as you navigate CCC’s Sites (“Site Navigational Information”). CCC uses cookies or similar technologies to analyze trends, administer CCC’s Sites, track users’ movements around CCC’s Sites, and gather demographic information about CCC’s Sites user base as a whole.

Other Data

CCC gathers certain information automatically to analyze trends and administer CCC’s Sites and Services. This information may include your Internet Protocol (IP) address (or the proxy server you use to access the World Wide Web), device and application identification numbers, your location, your browser type, your Internet service provider and/or mobile carrier, the pages and files you viewed, your searches, your operating system and system configuration information, and date/time stamps associated with your usage. Due to Internet communications standards, when you visit or use CCC’s Sites and Services, CCC automatically receives the URL of the website from which you came and the website to which you go when you leave CCC’s Sites. This information is used to analyze overall trends, to help CCC improve CCC’s Sites and Services, to track and aggregate non-personal information, and to provide CCC’s Sites and Services. For example, CCC uses IP addresses to monitor the regions from which customers and visitors navigate CCC’s Sites. CCC also collects IP addresses from customers when they log into CCC’s Services as part of an “IP Restriction” security feature. CCC uses User ID’s to maintain audit logs as users use CCC’s Services.

HOW WE USE COLLECTED INFORMATION

Provide Access

CCC may use Personal Data and other information to enable you to access and use CCC’s Sites and Services. This includes providing any customer support that you may request; providing responses to your comments, questions, and requests; sending you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support; and sending you administrative notices.

Service Operations

CCC may use Personal Data and other information collected to operate CCC’s Sites and Services.

Process Transactions

CCC uses Personal Data and other information to (i) bill, identify, authenticate, process and complete transactions, (ii) send you related information, including purchase confirmations and invoices; (iii) send transactional messages, including responses to your comments, questions, and requests; (iv) provide customer service and support; (v) send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and (vi) provide support and administrative messages.

Promote Services

CCC uses Personal Data and other information to send promotional communications, such as providing you with information about products and services, features, surveys, newsletters, offers, promotions, events, and other news and information about CCC and CCC’s partners. If you choose to subscribe to CCC’s newsletter, CCC will use your name and email address to send you such newsletter(s). CCC may use such Personal Data to contact you for future marketing or advertisement purposes. Unsubscribe instructions will accompany such marketing and advertisement emails providing you the ability to unsubscribe at your discretion.

Personalize Services

CCC uses Personal Data and other information collected to personalize CCC’s Sites and Services.

CCC uses Personal Data to provide Customer related communications, such as information and updates, scheduled maintenance, service interruptions, and special hours announcements. These communications are not promotional in nature and Customers cannot opt-out of these communications

Improve Content and Functionality of Sites and Services

CCC uses and stores Personal Data about your use of CCC’s Sites, such as the date and time of your visit and the pages you visited to help improve the content and functionality of CCC’s Sites and Services.

Provide Security

CCC will use Personal Data to prevent, detect, and investigate fraud, security breaches, potentially prohibited or illegal activities, unauthorized access to Services, fraudulent transactions, illegal activities, and enforce CCC’s terms of service agreements.

Provide Customer Service

CCC will use Personal Data and other information to send you a welcome email, to verify your username and password, or to reset your password. Furthermore, CCC will use Personal Data to respond to inquiries, to provide CCC services and/or technical assistance as requested.

Plan and Host Events

CCC may use Personal Data and other information to plan company events such as customer seminars, host online forums, and training sessions in which Attendees may participate.

CCC may use Personal Data and other information for other purposes not specifically specified in this Privacy Policy for which CCC will request your advanced consent prior to its use.

WHO WE SHARE INFORMATION WITH

Third-Party Service Providers

CCC may share Personal Data and other information with contracted third-party service providers (“Service Providers”) to provide hosting, maintenance of websites, application development, backup services, storage, payment processing, analytics, technical support, and other services that CCC uses to operate CCC’s Sites and Services in order to maintain high-quality user experience. These service providers are authorized to use Personal Data and other information only as necessary to provide the requested services to CCC and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purposes. Unless specifically stated in this Privacy Policy, CCC does not share, sell, rent, or trade any information with third parties for promotional purposes. Certain specific Service Provider details are set forth below.

Payment Processing

CCC uses a third-party service provider for credit card payment processing (e.g. payment processors). CCC does not store or collect credit card information. That information is provided directly to CCC’s third-party payment processor whose use of your Personal Data is governed by their Privacy Policy. These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of payment information. Currently, CCC uses the following payment processor:

Site Analytics

CCC uses Google Analytics which is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic and usage statistics.

Business Partners

CCC partners with various other businesses to offer CCC’s integrated Services. CCC may share Personal Data and other information collected about you with its business partner(s) when you use CCC’s Services. CCC does not control its business partners’ use of Personal Data or other information, and their use of the information will be in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Company Communications

CCC uses Newsletter to send Promotional and Service-Related communications to CCC’s Customers. CCC does not share Personal Data and other information collected about you with NewsLetter. Newsletter does not share or sell Personal Data to any third party. Newsletter stores all the subscribers’ data inside the database and does not transfer any data outside said database.

Law Enforcement

In certain situations, CCC may be required to disclose Personal Data in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements. CCC will disclose Personal Data when required to respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal processes, or establish or exercise CCC’s legal rights or defend against legal claims. CCC may also share such information if CCC believes it is necessary in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of our terms of service, or as otherwise required by law.

PERSONAL DATA RETENTION

CCC will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. CCC will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if CCC is required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

CCC will retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of CCC’s Service, or CCC is legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

CORRECTING AND UPDATED PERSONAL DATA

Visitors, Attendees, and Applicants

CCC aims to take reasonable steps to allow you to correct, amend, delete, or limit the use of your Personal Data.

If you want Personal Data to be removed from CCC’s systems, please contact us via email at privacy@ccccorp.com.

In certain circumstances, you have the right:

  • To receive a copy of the Personal Data we hold about you.
  • To rectify any Personal Data held about you that is inaccurate.
  • To request the deletion of Personal Data held about you.

Requests to access, change, or delete your information will be addressed within a reasonable timeframe.

Please note that CCC will ask you to verify your identity by providing personal information sufficient to identify your Personal Data before responding to such requests.

Customers

As a Customer, you can generally update user settings and organization’s settings by logging into CCC Site or Service with your username and password and editing the appropriate settings.

To update your billing information, discontinue your account, and/or request return or deletion of your Personal Data or other information associated with your Customer account, please contact your account representative or the customer service team.

If you are an employee of a Customer, you may also wish to contact your organization’s administrator for assistance in correcting or updating your information.

Please note – CCC has no direct relationship with the individuals whose Personal Data it processes on behalf of CCC’s Customers. CCC acknowledges that you may have the right to access your Personal Data. If Personal Data pertaining to you as an individual has been submitted to CCC by a Customer (the data controller) and you wish to exercise any rights you may have to access, correct, amend, or delete such data, please inquire directly with the appropriate Customer.

CCC personnel may have limited ability to access Personal Data and other information a Customer submits to CCC’s Services.

If you wish to make your request directly to CCC, please provide the name of the Customer who submitted your Personal Data to CCC’s Services. CCC will refer your request to the Customer and will support them as needed in responding to your request within a reasonable timeframe.

TESTIMONIALS

On occasion, CCC may post testimonials on CCC’s Sites that may contain your Personal Data. If CCC uses you as a Testimonial, CCC will obtain your consent to post your name along with your testimonial in advance. If you wish to update or delete a testimonial of that CCC is currently using, please email us at privacy@ccccorp.com.

CHILDREN’S PERSONAL DATA

CCC’s Sites and Services are intended for use by adults (individuals 18 years or older) only. CCC does not market, advertise, or sell any product or service that is intended to be used or purchased by an individual under the age of 18. CCC does not knowingly or intentionally collect personal data from children who visit CCC’s Sites. If you are under the age of 18, please do not use or submit any Personal Data through CCC’s Sites. If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 18 has provided Personal Data to CCC through its Sites, please email us at privacy@ccccorp.com. CCC will use commercially reasonable efforts to identify and delete all suspected Personal Data of children under the age of 18.

PRIVACY POLICY CHANGES

CCC reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy. CCC will provide notification of the material changes to this Privacy Policy through CCC Sites at least thirty (30) days prior to the change taking effect. Please note that the use of the information CCC collects is subject to the Privacy Policy then in effect at the time of use. By continuing to access or use the Sites and Services after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.

CONTACT YOU

CCC may use your name and email address to send you a newsletter or to contact you for future marketing or advertising purposes. You may at any time choose to unsubscribe (or “opt-out”) to any of CCC’s marketing mailings either by following the unsubscribe instructions or by contacting us at privacy@ccccorp.com.
